Picture of Bruce Ankenman

Bruce Ankenman received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MS and PhD. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to his graduate work, he worked for five years as a design engineer for an automotive supplier in Ohio. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University. His research interests include the statistical design and analysis of experiments. Although much of his work has been concerned with physical experiments, recent research has focused on computer simulation experiments. Professor Ankenman is currently the director of the Masters of Engineering Management Program, the director of the Manufacturing and Design Engineering Program. He co-directs the freshman engineering and design course (EDC), and is the director of undergraduate programs for the Segal Design Institute.
